Every year before they go home students donate stuff that they no longer need so that we can give it all away for free to the new arriving students. This stuff usually includes: stationery, lights, bedding, pc's, printers, tv's, books, plates, pots, pans, cutlery, clothes hangers, furniture [you get the idea...].

If you have stuff to donate we are still accepting stuff! Just bring it in to the main office at the Society and we'll do the rest. Unfortunately at the moment we are unable to pick stuff up for you.

To the right you can see what happened at last year's Free Stuff Giveaway. Get there early!

Canadian Thanksgiving Lunch
Sunday 11th October 2.30pm - 6.30pm

Last year's Canadian Thanksgiving was such a success, it's being organised again this year! The amazing menu will consist of a roasted turkey including all the fixings, stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce. For those who are not turkey fans, roast beef should satisfy your taste buds! Oven roasted potatoes, salad, veggies, dinner rolls/buns... the supply of food is endless! And of course, we cannot forget about dessert! A sweet apple tart and delicious pumpkin pie with ice cream... I am hungry all ready! If you feel like a nice glass of wine or pint, we encourage you to bring your own alcoholic refreshments as only squash and water will be provided.

To make the time pass more quickly as we wait for lunch to be served, some games should keep you occupied and of course, there are prizes to be won imported directly from Canada. All are welcome and we look forward to introducing those of other cultures to our Canadian Thanksgiving. For those who are Canadian, we hope this will make you feel a bit closer to home during a time that is spent with family, chatting, eating, and plopping yourself down in the couch to watch some football...
