| A fascinating day out for anybody interested in British history. The first stop of the day will be at Birdoswald Roman Fort. Set on a high spur overlooking the River Irthing. The views from the Fort are spectacular. From here we will then move on to Housesteads Fort, one of the best-preserved and most impressive ruins. The trip will be led by a guide with an expert knowledge on Hadrian's Wall who will be happy to answer any question you may have. PLEASE NOTE: Good walking clothes and shoes are essential for this trip. |
