A Year in the Life of Ivan Dunragit Rat
by Alexander Soddeledtotheskin
Its been a busy year since I finished digging at Dunragit - after the dig I thought I'd catch up with a few of my pal's - so I headed up to London - had a go on the big wheel but it made me feel a bit funny -maybe the 10 pints on the way up was the problem (knew I should have had more).
met up with a young lass I knew from my days working at the British Museum ( who do you think dug up all the stuff in there! )
Later in the year I thought I'd help out a little organization based in Wiltshire - besides the money might come in handy for the odd pint or two. So I joined them digging up the Old Saxon town of Hamwic - seems they want to put up a football stadium there - can't see why surely the ball's going to fall into all the holes we dug !
Bumped into a few of my chums from Dunragit -Matt, Rick and Chris - here's me giving Chris a bit of advice on how to trowel - he soon got the hang of it
Here's me on another site for the same firm - digging the archaeology whilst they demolish an old shopping centre - hope they put up something useful like a pub
we usually get to stay in some cosy little B&B when we are working away from home - here's me and my mate Kev settling in for a restrained evening in watching the telly - well we have to work in the morning (hope he's not going to show me the trick with the lighter again).
Some evenings there was not much to do so I redesigned the web page on my handy little laptop computer - put it all into frames with some stuff called Javascript - hope you like it.
Went out one night with some of the lad's and lasses from the MSc course I finished last year kept the lasses entertained with my archaeological stories.
Finally crashed out in the wee small hours of the morning - hope my snoring didn't keep Chris awake .
After all those long hours and work we all finally
graduated -don't know who the big chap is he seemed to be muttering something about copyright.

so after that it was me and Ange down to
the pub for a celebratory glass or two
