Wilmslow Guild Players' Spring 2004 production is Laying the Ghost by Simon Williams - a fast moving, witty play set in Yew Tree House, a retirement home for actors and actresses.
Margot Buchanan lives at Yew Tree House with her psychic friend Freda. Margot does not want to be reminded that it is her 70th birthday... but unfortunately for her, most of the residents around her are keen on celebrating it! She has three birthday visitors: her ex-husband, his second wife and his current mistress.
When the husband has a heart attack, mayhem rules as his ghost, visible only to Freda, tries to sort out matters between his three women.
